Hmmm yes Ive read all these tutorials, but they can help me very little beacause I am using PSPide  Sad . And when it tells you to type "svn checkout svn://svn.pspdev.org/psp/trunk/zlib " into  your cygwin base shell, I can't follow... If you have a link or somthn that I could download from?

Get a windows SVN client and download:
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/

Short of that, I'm not sure what to tell you other than you can do it the old way.  Which was converting your image directly to a C format.  Which sucked.  (Look at Snakman for an example of that)

You need a windows based svn application to download it from a svn repository.

I need a WTF?

Quote from: "harleyg"
When installing Cygwin, make sure you tell it to install svn, you may need to look around for it as i do not know where it is.  Wink

Also, have you even tried typing "svn://svn.pspdev.org/psp/trunk/zlib", or have you just looked at it and got lost.  Laughing  .

Were exactly do I type this? PSPide is just a huge text editor... that compiles things... I tried putting that into a webbrowser, but that didn't do nothn Confused  Confused Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused  Confused

Links:
zlib
libpng

Quote from: "harleyg"

Just do this:
1, Download zlib.
2, Untract it.
3, Change into the directory "zlib" (cd zlib).
4, Compile it (make).
5, Install it (make install).
6, Download libpng.
7, Same as #2
8, Change into the directory "libpng" (cd libpng).
9, Same as #4
10, Same as #5

Hmmm im good until about step 3,
I dowloaded both files, then extracted both files into a random file on my hard drive, Then I got confused...

A Windows Based SVN Client

It's basically a file downloader.  SVN is subversion, it allows you to collaborate on projects and basically it's how ps2dev is organizing their code.  You need SVN to download (unless you can do it through a web based interface or something)

I'd just recommend installing CYGWIN, it will be a lot easier for you (if you don't hit any major hitches installing it Razz)

Because it probably won't make any difference if he does it in the Windows Command line.  He won't be able to compile it anyway (plus even if he could it wouldn't get installed to the right spot).

I didn't make my self clear then, In pspide Im not able to compile even if I do get the SVN thingy, I would need CYGWIN, which I don't wanna do. I create the remote completly in C/C++ so I never needed all that ****.

I really donīt know about  PSP IDE, but why donīt you just install CYGWIN?  Basically itś just setting up a compiler... but in a linux environment.  Iīm missing why itś a problem to install it.

(Sorry about the lack of punctuation, the apostrophe key on this keyboard sticks.)
