Devhook Firmware Installer v0.6i

About:

This program was originally created by tommydanger, as a n00b friendly way to install new scary firmwares into Devhook easily. I simply modified it to make it neater, have wider compatibility, and also support the newest firmwares. I also made it so I could win some rocks in flatmush's little contest. I have now updated it to support more firmwares (for decrypting) and for running on more firmwares too.

To Use:

Extract everything to the root of your memory stick, put your firmware of choice in the root of your memory stick, and then run and enjoy!
Read the readme for further instruction and other news.

Works With:

This program will run on 1.00, 1.50, 2.71 SE (all), and all OE firmwares. Please don't email me asking why it doesn't run on your 3.03 or 3.11 firmware PSP anymore.

Changelog:

   Version 0.6i
*Added full support for firmware 3.40 (please note that devhook doesn't support 3.30+)
*Bug fixes (not all fixed, check out readme for more info)
*Added newest Devhook and folders for all the firmwares you could decrypt (though unsupported)
*Added firmware 1.50 as an example of where to keep FWs (much confusion on that point)

   Version 0.6h
*Bug fixes corresponding to previous version's additions
*Added newest Devhook and folders for all the firmwares you could decrypt (though unsupported)

   Version 0.6g
*Added full support for 3.30 (didn't forget anything this time)

Known Issues:

When trying to decrypt firmware 3.30 (also 3.40?), some errors happen and the program crashes.
*Status - [||||||||||] 60% done fixing

Download:

Devhook Firmware Installer v0.6i
(Includes customized Devhook 0.52010000, everything's ready to run)

Nice sleepy, I can definitely say that this will win some rocks, although it remains to be seen if any other entries equal it (or maybe even beat it, but I seriously doubt that).

NICE JOB (+1 Karma).

P.S: "but I seriously doubt that": Don't take that as an excuse not to enter new app's people, I will be judging on how much effort people put in, not who is best, and currently I think sleepy has made the best/only effort!!!

If you mean "can it run on OE firmwares" then yes. It also runs on 1.00, 1.50, and SE firmwares.

Probably, but I've never tried it. You'd have to take the files generated and installed on the flash0 and flash1, then put them in Devhook under another firmware name.

EX) Extract files, open dh/303/, delete everything inside, replace with OE files. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what will.

That's because Booster has not added support for 3.10 or 3.11, I included it in case he makes another release that does support those two.

You don't. You can test only up to 3.03 (possibly 3.03 OE-C, but I haven't tested that yet)

Well, is your memory stick full? Firmwares 3.10 and 3.11 are larger, which may be causing the problem...

I updated it!

I was looking through my source code (I forget why), and I realized that I never completed adding support for firmware 3.11!!

Everybody that sent me messages asking why, there's your reason! I'm sorry I didn't realize it sooner, but now that the new Devhook is out, you should have even less trouble setting this up.

NEW FEATURE: It comes with the proper devhook, 0.52 'overlayed' with 0.52010000, so you don't have to do it yourself (If you are easily confused <_<)

Updated to version 0.6h, which includes support for the new firmware 3.30! Once the new version of Devhook comes out, this will be all ready to rumble.

I also added some bonus code for creating the flash1 regs.

Enjoy!

Would it possible for you to make it compatible to fw 2.71 with HEND?

What I mean is that someone on the firmware 2.71 uses HEND and then he starts this devhook to emulate any firmware up to 3.03.
