How to ask for help I wrote this up because i've been seeing alot of threads lately asking for help, but having titles like "HELP!", or posting errors without code and vice-versa.
1. Search before you post. Before we even get to posting, ALWAYS search before posting a new topic as there may have already been multiple threads or tutorials that will help you.
2. Post in the correct forum. There is no use posting for C help in a LUA forum is there? Think about what you are asking and choose the correct forum.
3. Choose an appropriate title. I cannot stress how important this is, do NOT have titles like "HELP ME!". For instance, if you needed help on rendering multiple images with GU you can use "Problem rendering multiple images (GU)". This way when people are looking through the forums, they will see that and might know the answer to help you straght away. This is also helpful for others when searching through the forums.
4. Grammar. When posting at PSP-Programming, use correct grammar and spelling. Its not hard to type properly and others when reading will thank you for it. If someone is asking for help and using "u" instead of "you", or "r" instead of "are", personally, i will ignore them.
5. Posting. (body) When posting for help, be sure to include the errors or problems you are having. There is no use posting your code and not telling us the errors, and vice-versa. Why post a compile error without code? Post anything that might help us help you, including your Makefile, compile errors, code thats giving errors and a description of what happens when running it.
If anything is missing, PM me.
