Error in tutorial 'Lesson 01'

Hello,

I just followed Lesson 01 up to 'execute the updated script by typing "./toolchain.sh" and hitting enter.'. By doing that I get the response that [relative path]/gmp.h cannot be accessed because there would be no such file.
Why does this linux stuff never work and could anyone please help me?

you're missing dependencies

yes, thank you, i realized that. i was more interested in why the elsewise meticulous tutorial  doesn't mention these dependencies and how i can install them.
