I mean, is it possible to make it run a decent and playable speed?
Is it even possible to code?
Has anyone code one?
Is it difficult?

Nothing is impossible to code Wink, its just a matter of if the console or system thats running it can handle It I guess.

Im not sure if anybody has ever tried to, Probably not because it would be Months and months of work in vein.

Yes, it would most certainly be difficult, like defeating Chuck Norris at a being Chuck Norris contest. (Will never be done (on psp))

It would probably be equally as difficult as cloning or decompiling and porting the game you want to play

It would be cool though Smile

EDIT:
Thats definately a quote worth putting in your signature  Mr. Green

It's not possible, because the emulator system needs to be at least 10 times more powerful than the emulated system to get acceptable play. So seeing as the ps2 is 300mhz, we would need a 3ghz (or equivalent) psp.

The PS3 is what, 40 times as powerful as the PS2 and even at its launch, it couldn't fully support PS2 emulation. In fact, if you got one of the first PS3s out there (I did), then it has one of the original Emotion Engine processor cores built into them specifically for PS2 emulation. Now that the PS3's firmware has gotten better, however, so has the firmware's ability to emulate the PS2 without the use of the Emotion Engine.

The XBOX 360 had similar difficulties emulating the original XBOX in the beginning as I have heard...
