Lately, as you may have noticed, there has a deficiency of news postings.  Much has been happening in the PSP scene but, unfortunately, the administrators of the site have been too busy to keep you (the people) informed.  We have finally decided to bite the bullet and start the search for some reliable news posters.

If you would like to become a news poster, send an email to admin[at]psp-programming.com with:

  • A subject of News Poster Application
  • Your name
  • Your age
  • Your forum alias
  • Your current Karma (please do not buy more)
  • The reason(s) you want to become a news poster
  • A sample of your writing

The chosen applicant will receive special access to the news section and his or her own email adress @psp-programming.com (if he or she so chooses).

If any of the above items are missing from the email, it will be disregarded. You will not be notified.

And don't forget that you'll be helping this site grow Smile  Good news posting will hopefully attract more people to the site and forum.  Making this place an even better resource for all levels of homebrew development.

Doing a good job done on the News Posting may lead to a moderator position as well.

I agree. This is a great site, and it deserves a lot of attention... more than it gets.

Well, keep in mind that these forums are getting less attention because people are still going to the dev-forums instead of coming here, but when they realize it's closed they may start pouring back in more regularly.
But I do agree, this is a great place to learn how to program, and considering that fact, I don't see that many people around here.

There's really a 'level' of people that post on the various sites.

As far as I can see, there's only really here, ps2dev.org and the dev forums on QJ.net that caters for psp programming (general statement).

On QJ.net you get the 14 year old 1337 hax0r type of people asking questions

On ps2dev.org you get your veteran programmers who generally only have SDK specific queries.

Here on psp-programming I'd like to think we're somewhere in-between. This is more to do with the people we have here that respond to the questions than the people who ask them.

I'm working on redirecting all links from the old dev-forum to here to hopefully save people the trouble of having to read the announcement in the old forum.  If you guys catch any links to the old forum, let me know.

Sure thing! I was just noticing that if you go to psp-programming.com and click on the forum tab, it brings you to the dev-forum. That's what I was talking about before. I'll be sure to let you know if I find any more links to it!

As of last night that should be fixed. Smile

I just did a grep -r dev-forum . on the root directory, so I'm wading through that now to see if I missed anything (just fixed the wiki links a few minutes ago)\

Edit: I also modded the dev-forum to redirect to the correct corrosponding thread/forum in the new forums.  Hopefully that will help divert any links coming in from the outside to the new forums.
