[C] FlatEditPSP 1.6.0 - Text Editor

Homebrew Name: FlatEditPSP 1.6.0

Description: FlatEditPSP is a simple text editor much like notepad, but with a cooler keyboard.



Instructions/Controls:
        Generic:
                L/RTrigger       - change focus between keyboard->textbox->menubar (Except in dialogs).
                Select           - Screenshot.
                Start            - Forced exit.

        Keyboard:
                Left/Right       - Move selection column.
                Square           - Choose key on the pink row.
                Triangle         - Choose key on the green row.
                Circle           - Choose key on the red row.
                Cross            - Choose key on the blue row.
                Up               - Caps-Lock On/Off.
                Down             - Spacebar.

        Textbox:
                Hold Cross       - Select modifier (like shift in notepad).
                Directions       - Move text cursor.
                Square + Up      - Page up.
                Square + Down    - Page down.
                Square + Left    - Home.
                Square + Right   - End.
                Triangle + Up    - Insert.
                Triangle + Down  - Return.
                Triangle + Left  - Backspace.
                Triangle + Right - Space.
                Circle + Up      - Copy.
                Circle + Down    - Delete.
                Circle + Left    - Cut.
                Circle + Right   - Paste.

        Menu:
                Left/Right       - Select menu.
                Cross/Down       - Open menu.
                Up/Down          - Select menu item.
                Cross            - Open menu item.
                Right            - Expand menu item.

        - Better skinning (i.e. skin chooser, etc.).
        - USB keyboard support (don'y hold you're breath).
        - More bugfixes/tweaks.

Could you slow down the blinking of the cursor when browsing through the text? It's really distracting. Try making it time based so you can add the effect when typing as well.

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking of doing that, but it went to the bottom of my priorities when I realized how much I had left to do . Anyways I have released a fully functional version in the pxp contest here or download directly here (as at the time of writing pxp forums is down for some reason).

The way it's coded it ended up slowing the cursor blink a bit.

P.S compared to that alpha this contest release is sweet.

lol all that time I had forgotten to post the actual update, the update is there now.

in you latest release when you press start i get an error something like ''cannot save state''

That means there is an error opening the file 'settings/state.fes', the file may be set to read-only or something, just delete it and it should all work again.

Fixed. It has the 1.50 release as of now.
